Kalamkari originates from "qalam" meaning pen and "kari" meaning art. It is essentially the art of hte pen. It originates from the southern parts of India in Andhra Pradesh. It is a long and labourous process, where people draw the different traditional designs on fabrics and paint them using natural dyes.
This has been paired with beautiful Ikat fabric, which is inherently a resist dyeing technique. It is different from other resist dyeing techniques as the resist is used on individual yarns instead of the resultant fabric. This is a beautiful and rich pairing, which can enlighten your entire outfit in a second.

Colours may vary slightly due to a difference in fabric and digital colours.

Wash instructions: Please do not soak them in water, as that can lead to the overlapping of colours. Wash and dry them in shade. First wash dry cleaning is recommended as that is known to strengthen the colours leading to less bleeding further on.
