Madhubani is a beautiful artform from the town of Madhubani in Bihar. Madhubani was traditionally carved out of the Darbhanga district in 1972. Most commonly, fish, flowers, birds, peacocks are involved in Madhubani/Mithila paintings. More reformed artisans also include pictures from Ramayana or Mahabharata (Specially Lord Krishna with Gopis) in their paintings.
